The Most Important Supplement You’re Not Taking

Glutathione is a peptide made of 3 key amino acids that plays a critical role in immune support. It works by binding to unwanted compounds and free radicals in your body and then helping your body flush them out of your system.

Glutathione: Your Body’s Master Detoxifier

No other nutrient works harder to detoxify your body. Concentrated in your liver, glutathione is one of your body’s most important molecules when it comes to the detoxification process. When you’re under occasional stress or feeling run down, glutathione is rapidly depleted, so supplementation can be crucial during these times to help keep glutathione levels balanced.

Glutathione is the Ultimate Free Radical Scavenger

Glutathione is the body’s ultimate free radical scavenger. It’s one of the most powerful free radical scavengers produced by your body by far. Free radicals are unstable molecules that travel through your body and can cause damage to enzymes, proteins, hormones, and healthy tissue. Did you know these free radicals can even impact DNA and cells? Even some of the most notorious free radicals such as advanced glycation end products (AGE’s), and reactive oxygen species (ROS) can be squelched by the free radical fighting antioxidant support of glutathione.

A Highly Bioavailable Form of Glutathione

Standard supplemental glutathione is not well absorbed by the body... UNLESS it’s in the right form! Many oral glutathione products on the market don’t work as well as you think they should because of this. Standard supplemental glutathione tends not to be very stable and likely is broken down long before it has a chance to be absorbed in your gut. Even if it did make it to your gut intact, many mass-market brands simply aren’t in the right form to even be absorbed properly.

Years of research and clinical experience have led me to discover... the optimal form, molecular structure, and delivery method supplemental oral glutathione needs to have in order to viably arrive in the gut and properly absorb. My acetylated glutathione comes in the most bioavailable form available on the market. The acetylation process and micro-cluster molecular structure ensures that it won’t break down before your body has a chance to absorb it, and that it is in the right form to actually be absorbed.

Glutathione Supports Detoxification and an Optimal Immune System

If you’re in need of extra support for detoxification, look no further than glutathione. It’s an unfortunate fact that in the face of environmental and lifestyle stressors, glutathione levels can become depleted in the body. This is when we need this all important tripeptide the most. That’s why I have found glutathione to be so incredibly crucial to an overall health strategy.

Glutathione supports energy production in a way no other supplement can. Glutathione is critical for coordinating the activity of antioxidants in your cells. The power of Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and even the free radical fighters CoQ10 and Ubiquinol are all coordinated by appropriate glutathione levels.

What does antioxidant and free radical fighting activity have to do with energy? This activity protects mitochondria and cells from oxidative damage as well as helps your body clear endogenous and exogenous stressors from your cells, allowing them, and most importantly, their mitochondria, to function at peak efficiency. The mitochondria are often referred to as the power plants of your cells as they produce ATP. ATP is the fuel that provides your body with the energy you need to seize the day.

Glutathione is great for anyone who:

  • Wants to support a healthy immune response and healthy aging
  • Is looking to support cellular energy production
  • Is over the age of 40
  • Has been exposed to environmental or lifestyle stressors
  • Wants to naturally support their body’s detoxification processes

FAQs

Can I get Glutathione from food?

The short answer is, Glutathione is very difficult to get from your diet. While trace amounts can be found in foods such as raw red meat, raw dairy products, and a few nuts and vegetables, the amounts are minute and studies have shown that cooking these foods reduces their glutathione levels by up to 100%. Appropriate supplementation or an IV administered by a doctor remain the best ways to boost glutathione levels.

Why is there such a price difference in glutathione supplements on the market?

As I discussed above, most glutathione supplements simply don’t work. Countless studies have shown that if glutathione is not in the right form, and the correct molecular structure, it oxidizes and breaks down before it ever even has a chance to absorb. The highest quality Glutathione supplements on the market are more expensive to produce as they are acetylated, micro-clustered, and specially formulated to ensure viable delivery and optimal absorption.

Is Glutathione safe for kids, pregnant women, or breastfeeding mothers?

While some physicians do indeed recommend supplemental glutathione to children, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers, this needs to be decided by an expert on a case by case basis. I always recommend working with a qualified healthcare provider before making this decision for yourself or your children.
